Joe Buck admits that hair plug addiction nearly cost him his voice and career.
The 47 years old sportscaster reveals his addiction to hair plugs.
According to him, his addiction nearly cost him his voice and career after the hair replacement procedure.
Joe wrote, “Broadcasting is a brutal, often unfair business, where looks are valued more than skill.” “I was worried that if I lost my hair, I would lose my job. Okay, that’s bull. It was vanity. Pure vanity,” he added.
Last 2011, Joe had his eight hair replacement procedure, but he didn’t expect the outcome. After his surgery, he was unable to speak.
Joe believes that the reason is the cuff used to protect him during the hair replacement procedure.
He did not want to tell everyone the real caused why he lose his voice, so he lied.
For his family, Joe is not just an amazing sportscaster, but also a great man.
Joe said, “I think people bend the truth all the time, unfortunately.” “It was really for self-preservation and ego for me. I didn’t say it was an elective procedure to add hair to the front of my head. There’s an embarrassing element to that,” he added.
Joe enjoys his career because he really loves what he is doing.
The 47 years old sportscaster said, “Any surgery done to improve one’s looks is not really something someone wants to talk about, so it’s very cathartic to get this out.” “There are a lot of people across the country, as silly as this sounds, who obsess about hair loss,” he added.
Joe needs thicker hair because he wants to look younger.
For the sportscaster it was all because of his ego, whether he was on TV or not.
